Wonderful people, wonderful day

After being rained out for our October 1 date, FCR, Inc. made it happen with a Halloween-themed Walk for Survivors' Safety on
October 29 in DW Field's Park.

Volunteers arrived at 8am to set up the spooky gazebo, games, the barbecue, and registration table. Participants started flowing in around 9:30. Before the beautiful 2-mile stroll through the park, participants were treated to a yoga stretch from Yoga with Evangeline. After the walk, there were plenty of games, prizes, and barbecue. The weather was perfect!

Donors really delivered on an amazing array of raffle items including baskets filled with toys and games, makings for s'mores including a fire pit, a Kindle, gift cards for restaurants and salons, and wine.

We were joined by Brockton Mayor Robert Sullivan, Brockton's new police chief Brenda Perez, District Attorney Timothy Cruz, and Representative Gerry Cassidy. Pinnacle Partnerships who administered COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters. A million thanks to our sponsors who included the Prone Family Foundation, In Good Health, Brockton Housing Authority, Cape Cod Lumber, Rockland Trust, Sheree Marinilli LLC, Brockton Area NAACP, Bella Real Estate, Burgess Pest Management, District Attorney Plymouth County, Edwina Martin House, P L Transportation, LK Finance, The Ockers Company, NPCM, Representative Gerry Cassidy, Suzanne Zaff, and Lois Madoff.

Thank you to our amazing event committee, especially our team captains, Linda Kenney Logan, Sheree Marinilli, and Susan Lundin, all of the volunteers, donors, partners, and registrants for putting it all together. It was a Herculean effort.
