FCR @ TCG!

Family and Community Resources, Inc. launches collaboration with The Charity Guild of Brockton.

The FCR @ TCG initiative was created to help clients identify and obtain the resources and services they need to enhance their lives so that they can move from poverty and inequitable situations to hopefulness, financial stability, and well-being.

FCR's Multilingual Domestic Violence Community Advocate Nadia Goncalves will be at TCG every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 10 am - 12 pm to assist clients. Nadia is fluent in Cape Verdean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Laura Striese, The Director of the Guild, said “ We are working together to better serve our clients, we know that those experiencing food insecurity will benefit from having access to a suite of services that will help alleviate daily stressors.

Providing basic human needs is critical, both organizations agree on that. Family circumstances, immigration status, health issues, experiences that have caused trauma and other issues that affect well-being such as substance abuse impact many of the individuals and families we both serve. By working together, we can do more to promote equity when it comes to helping individuals obtain the resources and services that will lead to enhanced well-being.”

FCR & TGC want to thank the United Way of Greater Plymouth County for helping to make this possible!

About The Charity Guild

The Charity Guild was formed in 1971 by a group of concerned individuals whose goal was simple – to provide clothing and food for those in need. Four decades later, our mission remains the same:

" To provide basic and necessary services to those unable to meet their primary needs of food, clothing and household goods."

Our Food Pantry and Thrift Shop located at 501 Main Street in Brockton, MA, serve the greater Brockton area.
