October 2025
At Family and Community Resources, our mission is to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all survivors of domestic violence, and are committed to helping children and adults along their path to safe, happy, and healthy futures.
Follow FCR’s Facebook and Instagram to learn more about how domestic violence impacts our community, and how you can help support survivors.
Through our Domestic Violence, Mental Health Counseling, Supervised Visitation, Housing, Trafficking Awareness and Prevention, and Intimate Partner Abuse Education programs and our multi-lingual 24-hour hotline.
Through FCR’s Outreach and Education efforts, more individuals learned about domestic violence, how to support survivors, and how to find resources in 2025 than ever before
FCR’s impact has grown this year, with our advocates working to improve the lives of clients in over 140 cities and towns across Southeastern Massachusetts, including every city and town in Plymouth County
“I thought it was love. I thought things were really going to change. But I see now it was just the cycle."
Juliet sat in the back of one of our DV101 classes, silently shaking her head as an advocate explained the cycle of abuse, or the recurring stages that occur in an abusive relationship. At the end of the session, she went up and thanked the presenter, because that class was her light blub moment - she finally understood her situation, and was ready to take her power back and work on healing.
August is National Wellness Month! We cannot be the best parent we can be if we are not taking care of our own mental and physical health. When you invest in your own well-being, you are better prepared to be there for your children by being calm, patient and present, especially during your family time. Click below to learn more!
Community Involvement is critical in carrying out our mission of serving families and individuals impacted by trauma and violence. We have many ways for you to lend a hand in our organization - both virtually and in person!
